We’re back today with another Fixer Upper “Get This Look” post. Today, we’re discussing the Little Shack on the Prairie kitchen! The home itself, was as you’d expect from the title, a true shack. The homeowners wanted to transform their new home into a farmhouse, but with an industrial spin. You’ll see these industrial details in multiple elements throughout the updated kitchen!

The countertops appear to be concrete with a waterfall edge, once again contributing to that industrial vibe. The iron shelving unit that is mounted to the ceiling is a work of art and a great way to add extra storage in a kitchen that really only has one side of cabinets.
The duct work on the vent is left exposed, which is a unique element and focal point, as well.
The exterior doors in the room are painted black, to beautifully contrast with all the white in the room, and to tie in with some of the other elements in the kitchen. The barstools seamlessly tie all of these colors and textures together. We love the overall look and feel in this space!
We’ve rounded up several items below to help you get this look in your own home! Simply click any of the images below to learn more about each item (you may have to double tap on mobile).
